The Client (Simon & Schuster)
Simon & Schuster was looking for a professional recording studio in Calgary to host a media interview for local author Douglas Century and his co-authors, Ice-T and Spike, in support of their book Split Decision. After finding On Air online, they reached out to coordinate the Calgary portion of the recording.
The Challenge
The interview required a live recording session connecting participants and studios in Calgary, New York, and Los Angeles. Coordinating multiple studios, time zones, and technical requirements while ensuring a seamless experience for everyone involved required careful planning and reliable execution.
The Solution
On Air worked closely with Simon & Schuster to coordinate the session with the participating studios, ensuring every technical detail was in place before recording began. We prepared our studio with professional equipment, tested the connections in advance, and created a relaxed, welcoming environment so Douglas Century could focus entirely on the conversation with his co-authors.
The session ran smoothly from start to finish, allowing the interview to proceed without technical interruptions or scheduling issues.
The Result
The successful recording demonstrated On Air’s ability to manage complex remote recording sessions involving multiple locations and high-profile participants. A few years later, when Douglas Century released his novel Crash of the Heavens, he was quick to recommend On Air to his agent. They contacted us to coordinate another recording session, allowing Douglas to return to our Calgary studio to discuss his newest book with his publishing team in the United States.
Whether recording local talent or coordinating sessions across North America, On Air delivers the expertise, preparation, and dependable service clients can count on.
